Hello! I’m Paul Spencer, and I’m excited to share my professional journey with you. Throughout my career, I have navigated various roles and industries, each contributing to my growth and passion for creating jobs, diversity, change and driving growth for small to medium sized businesses.  

I began my career at Citibank and qualified as a Management Accountant after graduating from college. My early experiences taught me the importance of adaptability which has shaped my approach to work.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in diverse roles, including:

  • NewIT Solutions: An early stage start up company where resources were limited. My earlier experiences taught me to be versatile and adaptable, allowing me to contribute effectively in different capacities. I began by conducting thorough market research to identify potential clients that aligned with our services. Understanding their needs and pain points allowed me to tailor our offerings effectively. Through these strategies, I successfully contributed to acquiring new clients such as British Telecom and Autotrader. The company was acquired by InLinea IT after three successful years. 

  • IQVIA: In my role within Project Finance I helped to develop and execute a cost reduction strategy, saving the company 25% annually and led a team that achieved a 15% reduction in operating expenses through process optimization.

  • Dun & Bradstreet: I led a transformation programme that increased company revenues by 20%.

  • Vodafone: This position allowed me to:

    • Manage a multi million pound investment fund. Investing in new company strategies and external ventures. We launched several new start up ventures that returned investment over 3 years. 

    • Lead a multi million pound transformation programme that contributed to a 30% cost reduction and increase in revenues, supported by new technology implementation and restructures. 

  •  Three: In my role I implemented a strategy that increased profits by 10% in six months.

 

I founded Future Focus, to allow me the opportunity to add value to others. I am passionate about using innovation and diversity to drive growth. This role, allows me to work with many different types of people within varied industries.
